Because Spanx Are Not Enough

Women in the throes of divorce and its aftermath need support. Lots of support. We need inspiration, we need hope. We need to see and hear the stories of women who have survived, women who have thrived, women who have lived to tell.

“Show, don’t tell,” they say to aspiring writers.

I say, “Show and tell.”

DIARY OF AN EX-MAD, EX-DESPERATE, EX-HOUSEWIFE: A VISUAL MEMOIR OF DIVORCE is my “show and tell”—a depiction of my journey through the devastation of divorce—and the laughter, lessons, light, and life I discovered en route to healing my open wounds.

I offer DIARY as a means of support for the many other reluctant heroines who, like me, are finding their way out of the darkness of divorce.

Because it does indeed take a village.

Because Spanx are not enough.
